I Am Malala: The Girl Who Stood Up for Education and Was Shot by the Taliban, she stated in her memoir. She won 2014 Nobel Peace Price. She is only seventeen years old. Therefore, she is the youngest person ever to win the Nobel Peace Prize.
Just saying upfront: I don’t believe in the Nobel Prize (nor in the majority of prizes). Should they keep existing, give them to the young!
Many young people stand out in this unbalanced world, working extremely hard with no incentives, even without encouragement. So they are who need them most in order to keep walking and, with the pressure, to keep doing it well.
On the contrary, when you are a hundred years old, you don’t need encouragement. (Perhaps of another kind). Recognition? Recognition just serves to grow your ego. Someone who has already done the path, he/she doesn’t need any. The path is the prize.
Go, Malala, go!
