Don’t Be Afraid To Show Who You Are

Everyone is capable of telling the truth.

Which means that showing who you truly are is a choice.

We can either choose to show or to hide. It’s a choice, and a difficult one, because showing who you are feels risky. People are afraid because it makes you feel embarrassed, ridicule, vulnerable.

Perhaps you think you are not an interesting person–though if you have a truth of experience and you can surprise, you are absolutely an interesting person. Or perhaps you no longer have the passion, the generosity or the courage to be interesting any longer.

Stand up and show up. Otherwise, as young Joy says in the movie, “you’ll hide from yourself too.”
